EVANS-Mr. Morrell L. Evans, age 73, of Bath, S.C., loving husband for 50 years to Wyanett Stephens Evans and son of the late Jack Gary Evans and the late Ruby Lee Lowe, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 16, 2015. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Wanda (Jyrell) Shedd of Bath, S.C. and Teresa (Charlie) Webster of Langley, S.C.; sons, Wyatt “Glen” (Kathy) Evans of Jackson, S.C., Marty (Abby) Evans of Clearwater, S.C. and John Evans of Bath, S.C.; a sister, Annette Garrett of New Holland, S.C.; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Evans, a daughter, Toni Pitts; two grandchildren and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a contract driver for the Augusta Chronicle for many years. He was of the Baptist Faith. His family stated that he loved people. He had a beaming personality always picking at everyone; especially Kim, one of his caregivers at National Healthcare. The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to all the staff at NHC in North Augusta, S.C. for the wonderful care that they gave their love one during his stay there. He loved everyone of you. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 73 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his many friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening, February 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, remembering his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 4:30 PM with Rev. Walter Smith and Speaker Jim Free officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Timmy Green, Danny Green, James Goff, Wyatt Burbage, Bert Burbage, Dean Hughes and Stevie Cooper.
