Mollie Jane Jackson

JACKSON-Ms. Mollie Jane Jackson, age 51, of Bath, S.C., daughter of the late Johnnie C. Jackson, Sr. and the late Mollie Beasley Jackson Groomes, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 27, 2015. She is survived by a daughter, Paige Owens, of Charleston, S.C.; sons, Robert Overton of Bath, S.C., Jeffrey Overton of Charleston, S.C., Curtis Prince, Jr. of Bath, S.C. and Billy Smithmey of Charleston, S.C.; sisters, Nancy (Ricky) Rutland of Bath, S.C., Audrey (Tim) Varner of Graniteville, S.C. and Lela (Russell) Jones of Thomson, Ga.; a brother, Johnny C. “J. R.” (Cynthia) Jackson of Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren (three very special to her, Ashton Jones, Jeffrey Overton, Jr. and Mercediez Overton); a brother-in-law, Donnie Glisson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Leo T. Groomes and a sister, Ramona Glisson. She was born in Houston, Texas but has lived most of her life in the valley. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She loved her children and was a good mother and provider. She really enjoyed line dancing. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during her short lifespan; however, she shall live on forever in their hearts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, May 1, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. As per the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service and the interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions to directed to Lela Jones to assist with the funeral expense. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.
