RHODEN-Ms. Mildred Hall Rhoden, age 77, of North Augusta, S. C., daughter of the late James H. Hall, Sr. and the late Ruth Martin Hall, entered into eternal rest at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. She is survived by sons: Michael Rhoden of New York City, NY, Richard (Wanda) Rhoden of Augusta, Ga. and Brian (Kim) Rhoden of North Augusta, S.C.; sisters, Dora (Dewey) Plunkett of Aiken, S.C. and Nellie (Herman) Franklin of Vaucluse, S.C.; grandchildren, Amy (Daniel) Smith, Eric Rhoden, Dean Rhoden, Carley Rhoden and Kristina Rhoden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James H. Hall, Jr. She was born in Vaucluse, S.C. and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County. She was a retired bookkeeper with Rhoden CPA Firm. She was a member of Vaucluse United Methodist Church; there, she was a member of the United Methodist Women and also a member of the church choir. Her favorite pastime was playing the card game, “Hand and Foot†with her friends. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Candy Granny.†She shall be greatly missed by her family, many friends and all whose lives that she has touched during the 77 precious years that God has granted her on this earth; however, death is not the end, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family stated her last words that she spoke at the hospital was that “I’m So Happy†and yes, she has finished her journey and is now at peace with her Maker. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt “Thank you†to the doctors and staff in the ICU Unit of Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, Ga. for the wonderful care that they gave their loved one during her stay there. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held at the Vaucluse United Methodist Church on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Ray Litts officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the Vaucluse Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
