Mildred Brown Padgett

PADGETT-Ms. Mildred Brown Padgett, age 76, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late Harold and Rosalyn Grice Brown, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 25, 2013. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Frazier Craig of Aiken, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cyndi Padgett of Walhalla, S.C.; sisters, Lois Hatcher of Aiken, S.C., Patsy Atnipp of Easley, S.C. and Marie Boatwright of Edgefield, S.C.; brothers, Thomas Brown and Leroy Brown both of Aiken, S.C.; two grandchildren, Roy Craig and Nicholas Craig and three great grandchildren, Nathaniel Craig, Chandler Craig and Taylor Craig all of Aiken, S.C. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She retired from the Hickman Division of Graniteville Company with over thirty years of service. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Aiken. The family stated that she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 76 precious years that God granted her on this earth. She has completed life’s journey and is now at peace with her maker in a land where no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken for all is joy in that land. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, August 27th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Friends and family may also call at the daughter Tammy’s residence in Aiken, S.C. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Chaplain John Bower officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Park in Aiken, S.C. The pallbearers will be Nicholas Craig, Roy Craig, Frazier Craig, Jimmy Hatcher, Joshua Barton and Jerry McCarty.
