October 19, 1962 — December 24, 2018

Snipes-Michael Alan Snipes, age 56, of Aiken, S.C., loving son of Lottie Herron Snipes and the late Mackie R. Snipes, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Monday, December 24, 2018. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Joyce Snipes Cato, a brother, Mackie “Steve” Snipes, nieces, Amanda (Chuck) Hendrix, Nicole (Matt) Carducci, Lauren (Michael) Harrington and Emily (Brett) McNeill; a nephew, Steven (Emily) Snipes; great nieces, Sophie, Brianna, Savannah and Natalie; great nephews, Grayson, Luke, Nicholas, Ty and Hudson and many beloved aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Clark Snipes. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. His favorite pastime included playing the piano, and he was an avid reader. He also enjoyed going to the mountains. He was a special gentleman who showed his love for the Lord through his unselfish acts of service for all who knew him. A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Death is not the end for him, as he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones.  The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday morning, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Speaker Mark Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The burial will be private.
