Michael L. Key

KEY-Michael L. Key, age 47, of Augusta, Ga., loving husband of Stephanie Petrea Key and son of Ethel Blackmon Key and the late Lawrence Wallace Key, entered into rest on Friday, March 7, 2014. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Key and a brother, Bruce Wallace Key both of Aiken, S.C. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melanie Key. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was an electrician for KMT Services. Michael was an outdoorsman, who really enjoyed fishing. He loved cars, and was an avid Nascar Fan. He was a devoted husband, loving son, father, brother and friend. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during his short lifespan on earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and love ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, March 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life will be held at Graniteville First Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steve Hendrix officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Kelly Peel, Tommy Peel, Scott Petrea, Travis Petrea, Corey Johnson and Ken Weatherford.
