Michael Thomas "Tommy" Kaney, Sr.

Kaney – Michael Thomas “Tommy” Kaney, Sr., age 66, beloved husband to the late Gladys Louise “Lu Lu” Kaney, and son of the late Otto D., Sr. and Annie Bilton Kaney, passed away at his residence Saturday April 1st, 2017. He is survived by his son; Michael Thomas Kaney, Jr. (Jimmy Hughes), daughter; Gwendolyn Kaney (Steve McCormick), sister; Thelma Cain (Ollie), Delores Fischer (Eddie), grandchildren; Travis Henson, Morgan Kaney, Bryson Chapman, Henry, Chevy, and Bentley VanWinkle, a special niece; Laura Fischer and very faithful friends; Steve and Michelle Busbee. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; Otto “Buddy” Kaney Jr., and sister; Annie Laura Cain. Mr. Kaney had a love for motorcycles, dancing, and “hanging with friends”. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched in the 66 years he was given on this earth. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday April 8th, 2017 at 2 O’clock pm with the family sharing memories of Mr. Kaney. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests your presence at a BYOB meet and greet held at Gwen’s house (44 Henderson Street. Bath SC.).
