Melba Annie Peacock Johnson

December 31, 1969 — September 28, 2015

JOHNSON-Melba Annie Peacock Johnson, age 87, wife of the late Swinton Johnson and daughter of the late Chester Peacock and the late Bessie Fanning Peacock, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 28, 2015. She is survived by daughters, Marie (Bob) Ford of Ohio and Melody (Bill) Kirk of Ridge Spring, S.C.; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Laverne Johnson. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was of the Baptist Faith and up to her failing health; she attended Harvest Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and a very special lady, who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 87 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, October 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Grover officiating. The interment will follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery in Graniteville, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Matt Baker, Brandon Britt, Nicholas Grover and Ken Britt.
