MCDONALD-Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 26, 2010, Mr. McDonald “Dink†Griffith, age 64 of Graniteville, S. C., loving husband of Lydia Napier Griffith and son of the late John Lewis Griffith and the late Laudis Eunice Widener. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters; Patty Griffin of Aiken, S.C., Kim Letterman of Liberty, S. C.; stepdaughter, Tracy Kneece of Graniteville, S. C.; a son, Ralph Chapman of North Augusta, S. C.; brothers, John Griffith of Monroe, Ga. and Allen Griffith of Union Point, Ga. and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donny Griffith and a sister, Tina Johnson. He was born in Jackson, S. C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a retired truck driver. He attended Hollow Creek Baptist Church. He was a member and President of the Edisto River Coon Hunters Club. He was a Master of Hounds and a member of the Board of Directors of the Grand American Coon Hunters Association. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched along the way. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Graniteville Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Phillips officiating. The pallbearers will be Cody Kneece, Casey Kneece, Anthony Griffin, Aaron Griffin, Jason Courtney and Rodney Boatwright. The Honorary pallbearers will be members of Edisto River Coon Hunters Club. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home, prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 1:45 PM, after which the procession will be leaving for the cemetery. If so desire, memorials, in Mr. Griffith’s honor, may be made to the American Heart Association, 1003 Hammond Road, Aiken, S. C. 29803.
