Mary Frances Johnson Powell

POWELL-Mrs. Mary Frances Johnson Powell, age 79, of Warrenville, S.C., loving wife for 48 years to Charles Powell and daughter of the late Lemul Johnson and the late Etta Matilda Whittle Woodward, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 5, 2013. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons; William M., Jr. and Nancy W. Nelson of North Augusta, S.C. and Robert W. and Kathy Nelson of Graniteville, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, James Olin and Lynn Woodward of North Augusta, S.C.; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a baby girl, Mary Diane Nelson and a brother, Harry David Woodward. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S. C. She was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 79 years that God granted her on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her family and loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening, September 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Charlie Kelly officiating.
