Mary Franklin Hawkins

HAWKINS-Mary L. Franklin Hawkins, age 67 of Gloverville, S.C., wife of Billy Ray Hawkins, Jr. and mother of Billy Hawkins, III of North Augusta, S.C., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 24, 2016. In addition to her husband and son, she is survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph B. Durfee. She was born in Augusta, Ga. but has spent most of her life in the valley. She was a retired LPN having worked at several nursing homes during her working career. Her last position was with a nursing home in Edgefield, S.C. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 67 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the residence on Myrtle Street in Gloverville, S.C.
