Mary Eubanks Brown

BROWN-Ms. Mary “Carolyn” Eubanks Brown, age 84, of Augusta, Georgia, wife of the late Jesse Ray Brown and daughter of the late John G. Eubanks and the late Estelle Cotney Eubanks entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. She is survived by a son, Gerald Ray (Loilette) Brown of Tignall, Ga.; a daughter, Mary Carmen (Jimmie) Breakfield of Augusta, Ga.; Grandsons, Timothy (Tina) Breakfield, Ralph Bell Johnson II, Dale R. Brown and Dallas L.(Diane) Rogers; granddaughter, Jessica (Eric) Duncan; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ollie (Jeanette) Eubanks and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Elnora and Jack Williams, a sister-in-law, Margaret Eubanks; grandsons, Stephan Hobbs and Robbie Linton. She was born in Graniteville, S.C. but has been a resident of Augusta, Ga. for the past 62 years. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Carolyn, as she was so fondly known by her family and friends, was an Avon Representative in the downtown Augusta business district from 1954 until 1965. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 84 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life does not end with death, for the gift of God is eternal life in a better land. Yes, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. A service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev.Wade Palmer officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening, Thursday, July 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
