Mary Katherine "Kat" Altman

ALTMAN–Ms. Mary Katherine “Kat” West Altman, age 84, of Vaucluse, S.C., daughter of the late Walter Lonzo West and the late Lola Lee Bowser West, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lee Gregory of Vaucluse; a son, Tom (Janice) Altman of Greeenwood, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Lou Altman of Jasper, Alabama; grandchildren, Lisa (Mario) Gonzalez of Aiken, S.C., Kacie Coleman of Florida and Andrea Altman of Jasper, Alabama; great grandchildren, Morgan Tesseneer, Julian and Mario Gonzalez of Aiken, S.C., Joshua Altman of Jaspar AL, Elijah Robinson, Jonathan and Miranda Coleman of Florida and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings and three grandchildren, Jason and Kristie Gregory of Jasper, AL and Kim Altman of Clearwatr, S.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, January 31st from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, at which time a service celebrating her life will be held in the Napier Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Von McArthur officiating. A graveside service will be held in Jasper, Alabama. The family has requested no flowers to be sent; however, memorials to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210 or a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
