Marvin L. Johnson

JOHNSON-Mr. Marvin L. Johnson, age 76, of Aiken, S.C. son of the late Wiley Everette Johnson and the late Florence Lowe Johnson, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 2, 2012. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Michael Harling of Aiken; a son, Lee Johnson of North Augusta; sisters, Erluth Turner and Margaret Faulkner both of Graniteville, four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C He was of the Baptist faith. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Sons of Confederate. He was also a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 76 years that God granted him on this earth; however, he is now in his Heavenly home with no more pain nor sorrow. He shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Graniteville Cemetery with Rev. Todd Sessions and Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight, Wednesday, January 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
