WILLIAMS-Margie Kirkland Tanner Williams, age 81, of Graniteville, S.C., daughter of the late Broadus Kirkland and the late Maggie Evelyn Turner Kirkland, entered into eternal rest, Monday, August 31, 2015. She is survived by a son, Ray Tanner and a sister, Anita Rabun Stanley both of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister, Carrie Nelson of Savannah, Ga.; three grandchildren, Michelle Mims, Timothy Rabun and Angela Sanford and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Lord. She was born in Wagener, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. During her working years, she was a Nurse’s aid at Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was a member of Graniteville Church of God. Her family stated that she loved her Lord with all her heart and was a strong dedicated prayer warrior. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 81 precious years that God granted her on this earth. She has finished her journey and is now at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She is happy shouting on the Hills of Glory. A memorial service, celebrating her life and home-going will be held at the Graniteville Church of God on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Brandon Key officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expense.
