Margaret Baughman Widener

WIDENER-Margaret Baughman Widener, age 74, of Lexington, S.C. formerly of Vaucluse, S.C., wife of the late James “Peanut” Widener and daughter of the late Rhett Baughman and the late Lessie Chalfinch Baughman, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She is survived by her sons, James R. (Stephanie) Widener, Allen “Bryan” Widener and Stacy (Caitlyn) Widener; a sister, Nancy Widener; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Clark. She was born in New Holland, S.C. but has been a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a homemaker, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a member of “The Old” Vaucluse Church of God in Vaucluse, S.C., which is now University Parkway Church of God in Aiken, S.C. She loved her family and her Lord. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 74 precious years that God granted her on this earth. Death is not the end as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is peace and joy, and the soul shall never die in a land of endless tomorrows. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jody Padgett officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Park in Aiken, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Zach Widener, Scott Adams, William Widener and Chris Widener. Romelo Price will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
