LUTHER GERALD JORDAN

JORDAN-Mr. Luther Gerald Jordan, age 67 of Aiken, S. C. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 11, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Frances Blackwell Jordan and the son of the late Luther Brunson Jordan and the late Fannie Mae Gregory Jordan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons; David Lee New and his wife Mary of Aiken, S.C. and Terry Lowe of New Ellenton, S.C.; sisters, Carolyn Jordan New of Clearwater, S.C., Linda Heath Sheets and her husband, Steve of Jonesboro, Indiana, Jennie Jordan of Hephzibah, Ga., Angela Jordan of Aiken, S.C. and Sandra Smith of Newberry, S.C.; brothers, Richard Jordan and his wife, Kitty of Swansee, S.C. and Bruce Jordan of Newberry, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Iris Jordan of Pickens, S. C., six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Carl W. Jordan. He worked for Graniteville Company for fifteen years and retired from Pepperidge Farm in Aiken. He was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 67 years that God granted him on this earth; however, earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain, and the gift of God is eternal life. A celebration of his life service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. J. B. Redd officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
