Mr. Luther Carroll Craig, Jr. entered into rest at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Born in Augusta, G.A. to the late Emily and Luther Craig Sr., Mr. Craig served 3 years with the Army National Guard before joining the S.C. Highway Department where he retired after 27 years. He enjoyed long car rides, fishing and hunting, and his Beagles. He was a devoted Christian that loved his God. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Davis Craig; his parents; brothers, Rudy Craig, and Wayne Craig; and sister; Jacqueline Goodwin, and Victoria Alowine.
He is survived by his son, Tony (Tonya Whaley) Craig; daughter, Juliea Geppner; brother, Michael (Audrey) Craig; grandchildren, Kathina Duncan, and Martin W.K. (Danielle) Duncan; great-grandchildren Melique Duncan, Starr Asia Harrington, Anastasia Stewart, Franklin Stewart, Jackson Stewart, Mya Duncan, Cameron Duncan, Sophia Duncan, Roman Duncan, and Maximus Duncan; nephew, Rocky (Amber) Craig; and many other nephews and nieces.
A Funeral Service, celebrating his life, will be held Monday, September 12, 2022, at 2 P.M. at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, with the burial immediately to follow at The Historic Graniteville Cemetery.
