Lucille Norton Spires

Spires – Lucille Norton Spires, age 95, beloved wife of the late Curtis H. Spires, and daughter of the late Herbert P. and Pearl H. Norton, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday March 8th, 2017. She was survived by her daughters; Mary Hardy of Beech island, and Debra (Richard) Campbell of Augusta Ga, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents she is preceded in death by her son; Arthur Hastings Spires, and daughter; Bernice Herron. She retired from the textile industry after 42 years as a spinner at King Mill. She was of the Baptist Faith. Ms. Spires loved to dance, have a good time, was extremely spunky, and adopted everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 95 years God granted her on this earth. A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 11th, 2017 at 2 O’clock pm at the Vaucluse Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm at the funeral home.
