Lonnie Chavis, Jr.

CHAVIS-Mr. Lonnie Chavis, Jr., age 37, of Aiken, S.C., husband of Shannon Youngblood Chavis and son of Lonnie Chavis, Sr. and Katie Ann Chavis of Aiken, S.C., entered into rest on December 25, 2013. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Evelean Williams of Aiken, S.C.; sons, Cameron Chavis of Aiken, S.C., Dilynn Benson of N.C.; sisters, Angela Reames of Graniteville, S.C., Bonnie Ann Swearingen and Shannon Carey both of Aiken, S.C., Andrea Watts of Columbia, S.C. and Elisha Jones of Florida. He was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was employed as a tree surgeon for Chavis Tree Service. He was a member of North Aiken Baptist Church. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during his short lifespan; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening, December 28th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home, Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steven Chavous officiating.
