Lona M. Harris

Mrs. Lona M. Harris, “Mama”, 93 years young, beloved wife of Lewis W. Harris went home to be with The Lord Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Born in Saluda County S.C. to the late Raymond and Gwendolyn McCarty in 1928, Lona was an incredibly bright woman that loved people, with a contagious smile that made them love her back. She also loved shopping and singing. The number 1 love was her life, Lewis W. Harris, and her family. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Harris; and brothers, Duett McCarty and Marvin McCarty.

She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Lewis W. Harris; son, Randy Harris; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Harris; grandchildren, David (Leann) Harris, Melissa (Jimmy) Criscillis, and Marjorie Harris; great-grandchildren, Gunner Harris, Grant Harris, Jacob Criscillis, and Cameron Criscillis, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 1 P.M. with Pastor Gene Brown to officiate. The burial will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on September 19, 2022.

Pallbearers will be David Harris, Gunner Harris, Grant Harris, Jimmy Criscillis, Jacob Criscillis, and Cameron Criscillis.
