Lloyd W. Johnson

December 31, 1969 — March 13, 2012

JOHNSON-Mr. Lloyd W. Johnson, age 70, of Vaucluse, S.C., loving husband for 45 years to Landis Efird Johnson and son of the late Ernest Johnson, Jr. and the late Maedee Widener Johnson, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Efird (Marcie) Johnson of New Holland, S. C.; a sister, Laura Ann Johnson of Vaucluse, S.C.; brothers, David (Julia) Johnson, Sr. of Warrenville, S.C. and Richard Johnson of Graniteville, S.C.; grandchildren, Brayley and Brenden Johnson; several nieces and nephews. He was a dedicated member of the Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church in Graniteville; where he served as an active deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a proud US Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Poplar Branch Beagle Club in New Holland. He loved to fish and hunt; however, farming, gardening, taking part in any and all church activities and loving his grandbabies took priority in his life. He was also a loving husband, father and friend to all. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 70 years that God granted him on this earth; however, life does not end with death as God has promised eternal life for all who believe on Him, and Lloyd has just made a transition to his new Heavenly home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, March 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his homegoing will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Broach officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery. The pallbearers will be David Johnson, Jr., Spence Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Brian Lowe, Frank Spradley and Glenn Spradley. The Adult Sunday School Class of his church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials, in Lloyd’s honor, be made to the Fellowship of Truth Baptist Church, 106 Mt. Zion Road, Graniteville, S.C. 29829. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S. C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You can visit the online guest register at www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
