Lloyd Norman Van Fossen

VAN FOSSEN-Mr. Lloyd Norman Van Fossen, age 49, of Gloverville, S. C., son of Charles Norman Van Fossen of Barto, Pennsylvania and the late Shirley Hamlet Van Fossen Smith, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter, Ariel Van Fossen of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Kathy Cooper of Graniteville, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Pierre F. and Kim Van Fossen of Gloverville, S.C.; grandfather, Lloyd Hamlet, Jr. of Gloverville, S.C.; a nephew, Zakkery Van Fossen; nieces, Jasmine Van Fossen, Savannah Van Fossen, Ashley Cooper and Amber Cooper. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Earline Hamlet. He was born in Montgomery, Pennsylvania but has been a resident of Aiken County most of his life. He was the Maintenance Custodian for Midland Valley High School, and he also was a delivery man for Dominos Pizza. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Montmorenci, S.C. He was a loving father and brother and shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 49 years that God granted him on this earth; however, life for a child of God does not end at death for life and love never ends. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Montmorenci, S.C. with Dr. Tommy Richardson and Pastor David Hixson officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Memorials, in Mr. Van Fossen’s honor, may be made to the First Baptist Church of Montmorenci Youth Ministry, 44 Old Barnwell Rd., Aiken, S. C. 29801.
