Linda Hodson Yonce, 67, of Aiken, SC found enternal peace in the prescense of her family on the early morning of November 17th, 2024 in Aiken, SC.
Linda was born in Augusta, GA on Wednesday, June 12th, 1957 to the late Jewell Elizabeth McIntyre Hodson and James Edward Hodson of Warrenville, SC. Warrenville is where Linda called home growing up. She adored her family and shared many fond memories of her upbringing with her three sisters and brother. She was a graduate of Leavelle McCampbell High School and a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church, where she was saved and baptized. She had a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ and guided her children and grandchildren in the word of the Lord. December 17th, 1976 she married the love of her life, Eddie Arnold Yonce, and they were blessed with four children they loved and cherished dearly.
Linda was a captivating story-teller and loved sharing memories with her family and friends, who in return enjoyed listening. She loved her siblings and their children like her own. Her yard was filled with various plants and flowers that she admired, where she often spent time relaxing in a swing with her family. Linda loved fishing and going to the beach. She admired Cardinals and red roses, and was a great cook. Kind and caring, her home was always open to anyone who needed a shoulder to cry on and a good cup of coffee. Linda to most, but she was known as Meme to her grandbabies, whom she adored. Her house was always filled with the pitter patter of little feet, a sound in which she loved to hear. Today she walks with the Lord and her family rejoices in that. The memory and legacy of Linda Hodson Yonce will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
