LILLIE YARBOROUGH HELLAMS

HELLAMS-Ms. Lillie Joann Yarborough Hellams, age 66, of Graniteville, S.C. entered peacefully into eternal rest on on Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Kershaw Health Center in Camden, S. C. She was the daughter of the late Charles A. Yarborough and the late Jennie Cushman Yarborough. She was born in West Columbia, S. C. but had lived most of her life in Aiken County, S.C. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Lane of Camden, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kelley Hellams of Richmond, Virginia; a sister, Jennie Lee Renew of Warrenville, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Olive Lowe of Graniteville, S. C. and grandchildren, Amanda, Jack, Austin, Blair and Cameron. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannette Robinson; brothers, Jack Yarborough, Rev. Wallace C. Lowe, Willie Yarborough and Charles Yarborough. Up to her failing health, she was a dedicated member of Stiefeltown Baptist Church in Warrenville, S.C. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother, who really adored her grandchildren and family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 66 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended, she has just made her transition to her new Heavenly home, and the gift of God is everlasting life. A graveside service will be held today, Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 857 Mt. Beulah Rd. in Windsor, S. C. 29856 with Rev. Robert L. “Bob” Boone officiating. The Deacons of the church will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor, may be made to Stiefeltown Baptist Church, 143 Springwood Loop, Warrenville, S.C. 29851.
