Leonard Lamar Gordon

GORDON-Mr. Leonard Lamar Gordon, age 52, of Hampton, Georgia, son of the late Kendall Knox Gordon and the late Edna Harris Gordon, entered into rest on Saturday, September 3, 2011. He is survived by sisters, Linda G. (Toney) Betsill of McDonough, Ga. and Kennette G. Waldrop of Hampton, Ga.; a brother, Bobby Gordon, Jr. of Hampton, Ga.; a special great great nephew, Brayden Brown; special cousins, Teresea Campbell and Johnny Keenan; five nephews, two nieces, several great nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Gordon and a niece, Pam Gordon. He was born in Graniteville, S. C. but has been a lifelong resident of Hampton, Ga. He was a member of Lake Cindy Baptist Church in Hampton, Ga. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hampton, Ga. He was a loving and caring brother, uncle and friend. He loved music, motorcycles and was very crafty with woodwork. He was an animal lover, and he especially loved his lap dog, named Baby. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and yes, his lap dog, Baby; however, life does not end with death because the gift of God is eternal life in a beautiful land where we will have a new body with no more pain or sorrow. A service celebrating his life will beheld in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jody Padgett officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral today, Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials, in Mr. Gordon’s memory, be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
