Leander W. Poole

POOLE-Entered into rest on Saturday, February 5, 2011, Mr. Leander W. Poole, age 85 of Langley, S.C., husband of the late Mary Irene Williams Poole and son of the late Curtis Lee Poole and the late Mallie Blackwell Poole. He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Sue Moyer of Gloverville, S.C.; a son, James Curtis Poole of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Nina Sanford of Bath, S.C. and Annette Yon of Wagener, S.C.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Lee Poole. He was born in Neeses, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken, S.C. He was a member of Pauline Gospel Church in Augusta, Ga. He was retired from E. I. DuPont Company. He was a World War II Army Veteran. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, February 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:45 AM on Monday.
