Kathryn Hurt Anderson

December 31, 1969 — August 4, 2010

ANDERSON-Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, Mrs. Kathryn Hurt Anderson, age 93 of Warrenville, S.C., wife of the late Grit Asberth Anderson and daughter of the late Otis Hurt and the late Annie Bell Holsonback Hurt. She is survived by daughters; Sandra A. Sheppard, Kathey Sanders and Blanche Johnson all of Warrenville, S. C.; a brother, Charles M. Hurt of Graniteville, S.C. ; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jeanette Anderson; a son-in-law, James Gordon and a grandson, Larry Anderson. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville. She was a loving mother and grandmother who just adored her family. You might say that she had a degree in homemaking, as she was a homemaker all of her life; successfully raising four children. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and especially the neighborhood children, as her house was the stopping off point if you wanted to get fed with some of her delicious cooking. God granted her a long good life on this earth, and now He has called her home to Glory where she will have eternal life. Yes, to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. A service celebration her life will be held on Saturday, August 7th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Smith and Rev. Standford Holsonback officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Heyward Widener, Jerry Jennings, Matthew Goodwin, Danny Mathis, Gary Hicks and Charles Hurt. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home tonight, Friday, August 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials, in Mrs. Anderson’s honor, may be made to the Alzeheimer’s Association, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, Ga. 30904. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S. C. is in charge of the arrangements. To sign our guest registry, you can log on to www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
