Mrs. June Booth Turnbull entered into rest Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
Born in Graniteville, S.C. to the late George and Bessie Booth, she was a lifelong resident of Aiken County and a graduate of Leavelle McCampbell High School. She retired from DHEC after working 15 years in the office of Vital Records of Aiken County. June was an active member and served on the board of St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville, S.C. She volunteered regularly with the SPCA. She was very talented at crafting, and enjoyed traveling and decorating her home. She loved her pets, many of whom were English Bulldogs. Mrs. Turnbull was a devoted and loving mother. She will be missed greatly by all of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lewis Booth, and Jerry Booth; and sister, Myrtle Booth Dunn.
She is survived by her son Edward K. Turnbull II; daughter, Laura Elizabeth Turnbull (Ken) Riley; and grandchildren, Alex Riley, and Caroline June Riley.
A graveside service, celebrating her life, will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2 P.M. at The Historic Graniteville Cemetery, with Rev. Alan Quarels to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 140 Stoneridge Drive Columbia, S.C. 29210.
