DUFFIE-Mrs. June E. Green Duffie, age 63, of Warrenville, S.C., loving wife of Ollie Odell “Pete” Duffie and daughter of the late Willie M. “Babe” Green, Sr. and the late Mildred Knight Green Wilson, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, February 9, 2014. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Tommy Pritchett, Sr.; a brother and sister-in-law, Willie M. “Bill” Green, Jr. and Ruth both of North Augusta, S.C. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a member of Graniteville Church of God. She was a great person who never met a stranger, and she could strike up a conversation with anyone who wanted to talk or who would just listen. She had a “Heart of Gold” and would give you the “Shirt off Her Back” if she thought you needed it. She loved her God, her family and her friends. A service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Rev. C.B. Turner and Rev. W. H. Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the Graniteville Cemetery. Her husband stated that he would be burying the love of his life on Valentine’s Day. Yes, June may be gone from this life, but death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
