Jullian "Jake" Lawson Proctor

PROCTOR-Julian Lawson “Jake” Proctor, age 92, of Augusta, Ga., loving husband of 73 years to Lucille Samples Proctor and son of the late Ira L. Proctor and the late Lana Roberts Proctor, entered into rest on Friday, February 12, 2016. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Alton Abear of Graniteville, S.C.; granddaughters, Angie Seiler of Delray Beach, Florida and Jessica Bowles of Augusta, Ga.; great grandchildren, Amanda Seiler, Sean Seiler, Alex Abear and Nicole Combes; great-great grandchildren, Navaeh, Saylor and John. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Proctor and grandson, Lagran Abear, five brothers and one sister. He was of Primitive Baptist Church Faith. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and loyal friend. Jake had many talents and interests. An entrepreneur at heart, over the years he had many businesses; including boat repair, automotive, car sales, insurance adjuster and realtor. His passion for country music, dancing and guitar playing will be remembered the most. Jake’s many special friends brought the most joy to his life, and the family is so grateful for their love and support over the years. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bert Daniel officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
