John William "Jack" Purper V

Augusta, GA – John William “Jack” Purper V, 32, passed away in his home on August 14, 2024.

Jack was born on March 31, 1992 in Dundee, Scotland. He was a man of many peculiar interests which kept his family and friends entertained while hearing all his stories and experiences of life. His taste in music and ability to explore unique hobbies always made him an infectious influence in the room around him. To know Jack was to love him, and his witty humor and approach to life made him a true pleasure to be around. Jack loved his family and friends fiercely and enjoyed being a fun Uncle to all his nieces and nephews and was a doting dog-dad to Olive and Rufeo.

He was a superior and trustworthy employee of Penn Roofing for many years. He enjoyed working hard in the outdoors and gave his best daily in his line of work. Jack will be sorely missed by his coworkers and he leaves behind a legacy of leadership and hard work.

Jack is preceded in death by his loving grandmothers, Delores ‘Rusty’ Purper (G'ma) and Sheila Black (Nana).

Survivors include his Mum, Lesley Purper; Dad, John William Purper IV; siblings, Carolina Plew & brother-in-law, Casey; John-Paul Galloway; little brother/best friend Andrew Purper & sister-in-law Lindsey; and all his nieces and nephews who will tell you he hung the moon: Gavin, Elijah, Owyn, Quinn, Callum, Kaylee, Atticus, Trey, Bella Cole, Aila and Riley.

A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 at 10am in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home & Crematory.
