John Robert Cogburn, Sr.

Mr. John R. Cogburn, age 56, entered into rest on Saturday April 10, 2021.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mattie Benson Cogburn; sons, Anthony Benson, John R. “Doodle” Cogburn, Jr.; mother, Janet E. Siegler Cogburn; brothers, Frank Cogburn, Jr. (Rhonda Cogburn), Rallie Dale Cogburn, Sr.; and one grandchild, Jeph Taylor “Stinky” Benson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank L. Cogburn, Sr.

Mr. Cogburn was a truck driver and was self-employed. He was a a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

A graveside service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday morning, April 15, 2021 at 11am at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The interment will immediately follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, April 14, 2021 from 6-8 at Napier Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Glenn Williams, John Williamson, Joe Loveday and Russ Spence.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the memorial account of Mr. Cogburn to assist with funeral expenses.
