Jim "Bill" F. Conaway

CONAWAY-Mr. Jim “Bill” F. Conaway, age 74, of Graniteville, S.C., loving husband for 56 years to Margie Cook Conaway and son of the late John H. Conaway, Sr. and the late Mattie Lucille Chambley Conaway, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Thursday, October 10, 2013. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters: Faye (Marty) Edwards of Graniteville, S.C., Pam (Tim) Learnard of Peachtree City, Ga., Rachel Silas and Tammy Gregory both of Graniteville, S.C.; sisters: Sue Perkins of Graniteville, S.C., Sandra (Charlie) Kelley of Aiken, S.C., Jeanne (Ricky) Hicks, Sondra (Tony) Lewis, Cindy (Glenn) Lewis all of Graniteville, S.C.; brothers: Roscoe “Buck” Conaway of Graniteville, S.C.. George “Rufus” (Joanne) Conaway of Clearwater, S.C. and Ronnie (Edith) Conaway of Graniteville, S.C., eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was born in Columbus, Georgia but has been a lifetime resident of Graniteville, S.C. He was a retired carpenter with Graniteville Company. He was a member of Warrenville Revival Center. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to everyone. Yes, “Bill”, as he was so fondly known to everyone, loved everybody, and in turn, he was loved by all. Needless to say, he shall be greatly missed by his family and many friends; however, death is not the end, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. He has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home, with no more pain or sorrow, and no more sad goodbyes are every spoken. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, October 11th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A graveside service celebrating his life and home going will be held at the Warrenville Cemetery on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Leroy Beard officiating. His grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 10:45 AM.
