BERGER-Mr. Jerry E. Berger, age 77, of Trenton, S.C., beloved husband of Sylvia Weidner Berger and son of the late Jerry Berger and the late Irene Magazine Berger, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 24, 2011. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Jeanett Berger and Terri Lynn Meggs both of Martinez, Ga. and Lori Ahlbrandt of Las Vegas, Nevada; sons, Robert Berger of San Diego, California, Jeffrey Berger of Augusta, Ga., Ray Boling of Kansas City, Missouri, and Troy Boling of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; sisters, Christine Lavine of San Diego, California, Judy Hatton of Dayton, Illinois. and Sandra Dalle Williams of California.; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas but has been a resident of Graniteville, S.C. for the past twelve years; and prior to that, was a resident of the CSRA for over forty-two years. He was a dedicated member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville. He was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Jerry Berger was a wonderful man, supportive and loving spouse, brother, grandfather and friend to many. He was a born again Christian and found peace through his faith with our Heavenly Father. Saved by the grace of God, he is now in Heaven. He will be missed by all. A memorial service, with Military Honors, will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Breezy Hill Baptist Church on Ascauga Lake Rd. in Graniteville with Rev. Robert Riley officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Berger’s memory, may be made to the Cassidy Clark Fund, C/O Breezy Hill Baptist Church, P. O. Box 235, Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
