WOOD-Jason William “Bookie” Wood, age 21, of New Ellenton, S.C., loving son of Jimmy Dwayne Wood and Lisa Ann Faircloth Wood, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Ruby Lavale Faircloth and Russell Faircloth; paternal grandmother, Diane McLeod; step-grandfather, Mack McLeod; brother, Justin (Haley) Wood of New Ellenton, like a brother and best friend, Wyatt Barron of New Ellenton and a nephew, Joshua Calcutt of Darlington, S.C. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jim Wood and grandparents, Dave and Earline Wood. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was employed as a Cashier with Golden Corral in Aiken. He was a member of Windsor First Baptist Church in Windsor, S.C. When he attended South Aiken High School, he was a member of the NJROTC. He was a volunteer at Pepper Hill Nursing Home doing whatever he could to help others when needed. He was a loving son, brother and friend who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during his short lifespan; however, life for “Bookie” has not ended; he has just finished life’s journey and is now at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Fond memories of him shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones. A service, celebrating his life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ronald “Shot” Lanier, Jr. officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery in Vaucluse, S. C. The Pallbearers will be Justin Wood, Wyatt Barron, Raymond Wood, DaKota Faircloth, Byron Richardson, Lee Barron and Michael Lanier. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
