Janice Plunkett Banks

BANKS- Janice Plunkett Banks, age 82, of Warrenville, S.C., wife of the late Samuel H. “Buck” Banks, and daughter of the late J. C. Plunkett and Mary Griswold Plunkett Wood, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, December 27, 2015. She is survived by daughters, Donna (Jeff) Clark of Martinez, GA. and Rhonda (Tim) Burford of Staunton, VA.; grandsons, Bob (Lindsey) Clark of Atlanta, GA., Brett (Kyle) Clark of Augusta, GA., Cameron (Kelly) Brown of Greer, S.C.; a granddaughter, Reagan Brown of Fishersville, VA.; a great grandson, Christian Michael Brown and her brother, Wayne (Ruth) Plunkett of Aiken, S.C. In addition to her late husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Plunkett, Dean Plunkett, Harold Plunkett and a sister, Betty Plunkett Abney. She was born in Aiken County and resided in the Aiken-Augusta area throughout her life. She was a faithful and dutiful member of Warrenville First Baptist Church for over 38 years, where she served on numerous committees and was a leader and supporter of the Lord and her church family. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed the Holiday Season, where she loved to shop, decorate, bake her famous tinned “goodies” and reminiscing at her family holiday dinners. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Warrenville First Baptist Church on Thursday, December 31st at 11:00 AM with Pastor Derald Adams officiating. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service. The Pallbearers will be her nephews, Larry Abney, Ronnie Abney, Richard Abney, Roger Abney, Danny Abney, Tommy Plunkett and Darren Plunkett. Visitation with the family will be held this Wednesday evening, December 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Napier Funeral Home.
