Janet Horn Morris McGuire

McGuire-Janet Horne Morris McGuire, age 53, of Rock Hill, S.C., formerly of Gloverville, S.C., daughter of the late James W. (J.W.) Horne, Sr. and the late Rosa Pilot Horne, went to be with her Lord, mother, father, sisters and most of all, her beloved baby girl, Jennifer Rose Morris Newsome on Monday, March 24, 2014. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Marie Morris Lexime of Gloverville, S.C.; sons, Christopher Morris of Graniteville, S.C. and Kenneth Wayne Morris, Jr. of Clearwater, S.C.; sisters, Donna Morris of Burnettown, S.C. and Frances Williams of Augusta, Ga.; brothers, James Horne, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Richard Horne of Gloverville, S.C., Dale Horne of Pickens, S.C., David Horne, Sr. of Gloverville, S.C. and five grandchildren. She was born in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was living in Rock Hill, S.C. at the time of her death; however, she had been a resident of Aiken County most of her life. She was an assembly line worker with Prologics East in Ft. Mill, S.C. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Rock Hill, S.C. She was a loving mother, sister, friend and grandmother, who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 53 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. She has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home, where all is joy and peace and no sad goodbyes are ever spoken. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, March 30th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. A service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ken Garvin officiating. The interment will follow at the Eastview Cemetery in Edgefield, S.C. The pallbearers will be Timothy Horne, David Horne, Jr., Len Broome, Chuck Morris, Andrew Garcia and Robert Manecke.
