James Kevins Redd

December 31, 1969 — November 12, 2012

REDD-Mr. James “Kevin” Redd, age 52, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband of Angel Pemberton Redd and son of Wilbur “Buddy” Redd and Helen Brown Redd, entered into eternal rest at his residence, with his family by his side, on Monday November 12, 2012. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Andrew Patterson of Aiken; a brother, Brian “Bree” (Kim) Redd of Graniteville; two nieces, Brittany Bowen and Bailey Redd and a nephew, Dannion Redd. He was born in and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S. C. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother with a personality all his own. The family stated that you always knew where you stood with Kevin, as he was so fondly known by his family and many friends. He was a great man with a special laugh, and he could always be recognized by his laugh and his big compassionate heart for others. Kevin shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 52 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, life for Kevin, has not ended with death, as he has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly mansion with no more pain or sorrow, and of course, he is now with his maker, whom he loved supremely; and he is sporting a new body with no more pain or sorrow. Yes, earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, November 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service celebrating his life and home going will be held at the Vaucluse Cemetery Wednesday morning, November 14th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Sherrell Dunn and Rev. Sonny McDaniel officiating. The pallbearers will be Don Watkins, Wyman Watkins, Wallace Watkins, Stanley Redd, Andy Redd and Dean Arthur. The funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home to go to the cemetery by 10:45 AM. Memorials, in Kevin’s honor, may be made to “Touch of Love Ministry” at Curtis Baptist Church, 1326 Broad St., Augusta, Ga. 30901. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. To sign our guest register, you may log on to www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
