James A. Prescott

PRESCOTT–Mr. James A. Prescott, age 67, of Trenton, S. C., loving husband, of 50 years this coming October, to Mary Nichols Prescott and son of the late Luther Albert Prescott and the late Beulah Kitchings Prescott, went home to be with is Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Angela Prescott of the home; grandchildren, Cameron (April) Roton and DaKoda Hawkins; one great granddaughter, Isabella Roton; a great grandson, Christopher Dudley; numerous nieces and nephews and his very best friend and fishing buddy, Ellis Cook. He was born in Graniteville, S.C. and has been a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a dedicated member and Deacon of the Old Time Gospel Church in Eureka, S.C. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who loved his family with all of his heart. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 67 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, life does not end with death, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe and trust in Him. He has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home, where there is no more pain and sorrow for all is peace and joy in that land of no more sad goodbyes. A service celebrating his life and home going will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home, Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 3:00 PM with Rev. John Huff officiating. The family will will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Rusty Prescott, Ralph Williams, Richie Harmon, Marshall Harmon, Kyle Jackson and Billy Hawkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials, in Mr. Prescott’s honor, may be made to Aiken SPCA, 401 Wire Road, Aiken, S.C. 29801.
