MAYBERRY-Mr. James A. Mayberry, age 72, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband for 50 years to Linda Crawford Mayberry and son of the late Morris E. Mayberry and the late Mamie Fulmer Mayberry, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Morris Mayberry; daughters, Shari Bechtold, Joan Watt and Betty Proctor; brothers, Richard, Thomas and Terrial Mayberry; sisters, Dorothy Calderon, Barbara Gerdts and Catherine Palmer; four grandsons, a granddaughter and two great granddaughters. He was born in Warrenton, Virginia but has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 45 years. He was a retired Navy Veteran and also the retired owner of Mayberry’s Appliance Repair. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 72 precious years that God granted him on this earth. He has completed life’s journey and is now at peace with his maker. He unselfishly donated his body to MCG for research so as to help others. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Baptist Church in Aiken on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Brancie Stephens and Pastor Charles Jenkins officiating. The interment will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that memorials, in his honor, be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.
