James William "Bub" Leopard

December 31, 1969 — May 1, 2012

LEOPARD-Mr. James William “Bub” Leopard, age 81, of Gloverville, S.C., loving husband of Mary Brown Leopard and son of the late John Henry Leopard and the late Annie Goss Leopard, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Eric Hartley of Warrenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Karen Leopard of Gloverville; a brother, Bobby Leopard of Windsor; a special nephew, John Busbee of Aiken; four granddaughters, Erin & Emily Hartley, Danielle & Brooke Carr; a grandson, Trey Leopard. He was born in Langley, S.C. and has been a lifetime resident of the local area. He retired from the Maintenance Dept. of Graniteville Company. He was of the Baptist Faith. His hobbies included hanging around flea markets and going fishing. He really enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play ball; however, as much as he loved the Braves, it did not even come close to the enjoyment he got from watching his granddaughter, Emily play softball. Yes, “Bub”, as he was so fondly known by his family and many friends, shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 81 precious years God granted him on this earth; however, he shall live on forever in everyone’s heart. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, May 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Napier officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You can visit the online guest register at www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
