JOHNSON-James T. Johnson, Jr., age 70, of Graniteville, S.C., loving husband for 20 years to Beth Huff Johnson and son of James T. (Diane) Johnson, Sr. and the late Jewel Quarles Johnson, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 10, 2015. In addition to his wife, father and stepmother, he is survived by sons; Austin Dakota Johnson, James Andy (Lynn) Johnson, David Shawn (Lisa) Johnson and Tony (Wendy) Johnson; a sister, Glenda Johnson; a grandson, Matthew Johnson; a stepsister, Jennifer (Ronnie) Sterling and a stepbrother, Robert Richards. He was born in Augusta, Ga. and has been a resident of S.C. for the past 20 years. He was a member of Little Horse Creek Baptist Church. He bravely served his country as a Sgt. in the US Marines. He was a retired Lt. with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Dept. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, stepbrother and friend who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 70 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones. He has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening, August 12th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Derald Adams, Rev. Lynn Kirkland and Rev. Regina Bell officiating. The interment will be private. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to Mason Transplant Guest House, 1555 Shoup Ct., Decatur, Ga. 30033.
