James M. "Butch" Green

GREEN- Mr. James M. “Butch” Green, age 72, of Aiken, S.C., husband of the late Jean R. Green and son of the late Bruce and Vera Mae Attaway Green, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Cox of Aiken, S.C.; a son, Keith Lee Green of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Patsy Shamber of North Augusta, S.C.; grandchildren, Travis Jones, Kristi Prosser, Tara Sprouse and Makayla Green; great grandchildren, Justin Jones, Jordan Jones and Kenley Prosser. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was an electrician by trade having worked for Federal Paper during his working years. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during his lifetime on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. A graveside service will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 19, 2013 with Rev. Jonathan Randall and Rev. Bill Branch officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday. The Pallbearers will be Mike Green, Jerry Havird, Christopher Salas, Teddy Mills, Chris Myers and Richard Eubanks. Mike Lowe, Larry Beam and Roger McCain will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials, in Butch’s honor, be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
