James W. Brown

BROWN-Mr. James W. Brown, age 95, of Aiken, S.C., husband of the late Allie Fleming Brown, and son of the late Lattie Gene Brown and the late Bonnie Moore Brown, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He is survived by daughters, Alice Westbrook of Aiken, S.C., Lillian Fields of Eureka, S.C. and Mary Chevitanondr of Arlington, Virginia; a sister, Zennie McFarlin of Ashville, N.C.; a brother, Weaver Brown of Adair, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gene Brown. He was born in Ashville, N. C. but has been a resident of Aiken County, S.C. for over 30 years. He was a retired electrician, having worked as a subcontractor in the commercial and residential field. He was a member of Old Time Gospel Baptist Church in Trenton, S.C. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 95 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, life for Mr. Brown has not ended, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe on Him. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Friday, October 19th from 12:00 noon until 1:30 PM; after which time, the funeral procession will make its departure to Aiken Memorial Park in Aiken, S.C. for the graveside service at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Huff officiating. Memorials, in Mr. Brown’s honor, may be made to Old Time Gospel Church, 1231 Luke Bridge Rd., Trenton, S.C. 29847. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
