Jacqueline Posey Asbelle

ASBELLE-Mrs. Jacqueline Posey Asbelle, age 83 of Graniteville, S.C., loving wife of 65 years to Charles T. Asbelle and daughter of the late Arthur Lee Posey, Sr. and the late Mozelle Langley Posey, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Christiann Asbelle of Graniteville, S.C.; sons, Charles T. “Chip” Asbelle, II of North Augusta, S.C. and James M. Asbelle of Graniteville, S.C.; a brother, Lee (Margaret) Posey, Jr. of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Alaina Zelek, Tessa Zelek and Charles Thomas Asbelle, III; great grandchildren, Charlie Minton, Ashton and Avery McCart. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Anthony Asbelle. She was born in Augusta, Georgia. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville. She was an avid Clemson Fan. She was an Army wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved her children and family with all her heart. Next to her Lord and Savior, they always came first in her life. She was always loving and always loved by everyone. Death is not the end for “Jackie”, as she was so fondly known by her many friends; because death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. A service, celebrating her life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Donald Martin, Shane Moore, Greg Asbelle, Crawford Asbelle, Jr. and Thomas Asbelle, III. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, Box 38, Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
