December 31, 1969 — July 27, 2011

PANTHER-Ms. Barbara “Jackie” Yaun Panther, age 85 of Warrenville, S.C., wife of the late Carl “CW” Panther and daughter of the late Knowlton Yaun and the late Cleo Burckhalter Yaun, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She is survived by a daughter, Pyllis (Ernest) Tucker of Warrenville, S.C.; a son, Dwight (Elaine) Phillips of Demorest, Georgia; a brother, Samuel (Lily) Yaun of Beech Island, S.C.; grandchildren, Melissa (Larry) Dixon, Kevin Tucker all of Warrenville, S.C., Shannon (Patrick) Brissey of Columbia, S.C., Tammy (David) O’Berry of Lexington, S.C. and Lisa (Jack) Kirby of Conway, S.C.; great grandchildren, Jason (Patty) Dixon, Erin Dixon all of Warrenville, S.C. and Jarad O’Berry of Lexington,S.C.; great-great grandchildren, Jonathan Dixon and Nicholas Dixon both of Warrenville, S.C. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wyman and Dean Yaun. She was born in Augusta,, Ga. but has been a lifelong resident of Warrenville, S.C. She was retired from Graniteville Company. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was a very caring person, so much so, that she took care of her whole neighborhood and everyone else that she felt needed her assistance. Yes, she was definitely a good Samaritan, and she will really be missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 85 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for “Jackie” as she was so fondly known by her famly and friends has not ended; just only begun in a better land. A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel E. Yaun, Sr. officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden in Graniteville, S.C. The pallbearers will be Patrick Brissey, Larry Dixon, Michael Hutson, Kevin Tucker, Jason Dixon and Charles Templeton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, July 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials, in Jackie’s honor, may be made to Warrenville Revival Center, P. O. Box 452, Warrenville, S.C. 29851. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
