COOK-Mrs. Jackie Barrett Cook, age 76, loving wife for 57 years to Eddie G. Cook and daughter of the late James Barrett and the late Eloise Spears Barrett, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at her residence in Martinez, Ga. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Harold ( his wife, Gail) Young, Drew Cook and David (his wife, Becky) Cook; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was born in Sullivan’s Island, S.C. but had been a lifelong resident of Augusta, Ga. She was a loving wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a retired nurse with the Goldberg, Scoggins and Oldham Obstetrical Group in Augusta, Ga. She was a devoted longtime member of Morningside Baptist Church in Augusta. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 76 years that God granted her on this earth; however death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her love ones. She has finished her journey and is now at peace with her Maker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening, May 4th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. A service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wallace Hoyle officiating. Rev. Joey Vinson will be ministering in song. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. Grandsons and grand sons-in-law, Wesley Young, Chris Young, Josh Logan, Ian Cook, Cullan Cook and Scott Anderson, will serve as pallbearers.
