Jack Sherman Wood

WOOD-Mr. Jack Sherman Wood, age 71, of Graniteville, S.C., husband of Dana Burroughs Wood and son of the late Calvin Wood and the late Thelma Johnson Wood, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 23, 2012. He is survived by a son, Christian Wood of Graniteville; daughters, Cheryl Walker of Washington State, Barbara Edwards-Forrer of Florida and Lawanna Renew of Graniteville; a sister, Miriam Hambrick of Graniteville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Hopson. He was born in Lexington, S.C. but has been a resident of the local area for some time. He was a residential and commercial landscaper by trade. He was a member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, April 27, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, April 28th at 2:00 PM at Breezy Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Riley officiating. The interment will be private.
