HODGES- Mr. Irvin E. Hodges, age 61, of Warrenville, S.C., loving husband for 39 years to Nancy Nell Craig Hodges, and son of the late Irvin R. Hodges and the late Myrtle Elizabeth Deas Hodges, entered into rest at his residence on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepdad, Robert Leopard; a son, Jamie Glyn Hodges of Langley, S.C.; daughters, Sandy and Amy Hodges both of Warrenville, S.C.; a brother, William Eugene Hodges of Gloverville, S.C.; sisters, Brenda Hodges and Sandra Altman; grandchildren, Brooke Johnson, Cameron Feagin, Mallory Hodges, Makinley and Makenzie Hodges, Maddox Hodges, Ansleigh Hash and Aubreigh Hash. He was preceded in death by a son, Irvin Bryan Hodges and a sister, Linda Broome Hodges. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a truck driver for Dixie LP Gas Co. in Augusta, Ga. and prior to working with them, he worked for Bennett Gas Co. for 42 years. He was a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and drinking coffee with his friends in the morning. He was a loving husband, father, Pa Pa and friend and next to his family, came his love for his job. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 61 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his love ones. He has finished his journey and is now at peace with his Maker. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home this Thursday evening, May 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life, will be held at Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bath, S.C. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Bill Branch officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Tony Redmond, Larry Newman, Walter Busbee, Dave Kaney, Pedro Myers, Wayne Johnson, Gerald Storey and Danny Carol. Justin S. Craig, Roy Eubanks, Brandon Huffman, Justin and Tyler Craig will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 190 Knox Abbott Dr., Cayce, S.C. 29033.
